Amazing New Culinary Creations: Viral Recipes to Try at Home

Posted: August 30, 2022 3:30 pm

Most of us tend to fall into ruts when it comes to cooking at home. Monday leftovers, taco Tuesday, crockpot Thursday, and pizza Friday gets really old after a month or two. But time crunches tend to get in the way of actually cooking anything, let alone researching recipes and learning how to cook new dishes. Here, we’ve done the work for you and have selected a few of the most exciting new recipes that have gone viral recently. And we have taken the extra step of making sure they are all super-easy to prepare in addition to being delicious.

Pesto Eggs

Eggs for breakfast is a classic approach to good nutrition. They are high in protein and can be quickly transformed into boiled, scrambled or sunny side up. They can, however, get really boring, day after day. This pesto eggs recipe adds some color, flavor, and nutrition to the classic sunny-side-up fried egg. Plus it’s a great way to use up your leftover pesto.

Homemade Trendy Custard Yogurt Toast with Berries

Yogurt Toast

This is a really interesting twist on breakfast. It combines the classic egg, toast, yogurt, and fresh fruit breakfast into one delicious, decadent, nutritious breakfast dish. Yogurt toast may look like a gourmet breakfast, but it has practically no prep time. Just stir things together and toss them in the oven to cook for 10 minutes while you go get ready for your day.

Baked Feta Pasta

This super easy approach to making a creamy, delicious pasta sauce first went viral in Finland in 2019 and has since then spread around the world. In addition to being delicious, a major appeal of this baked feta pasta dish is it has practically no prep time. No chopping, dicing, stirring, or grating. Just toss the feta and tomatoes in the oven and pop some pasta on to boil. You can use any shape or style of pasta. Some people have added stir-fried shrimp or leftover chopped chicken to this dish right before serving and pronounced it excellent.

Nori Wraps

We like to think of this wholesome, tasty dish as a “sushi wrap”. It takes traditional sushi roll ingredients and rearranges them into a wrap. You can customize the ingredients in your nori wrap to match your favorite sushi roll ingredients. In case you didn’t know, nori wraps are dried sheets of seaweed, larger versions of the strip of seaweed that gets wrapped around the outside of most sushi rolls. Making one nori wrap per person is a lot easier than making a dozen tiny sushi rolls but it packs in the same amount of flavor and nutrition.

Accordion Potatoes

If you really want to impress your guests, forget about the potatoes au gratin and whip up some accordion potatoes. This fancy dish looks like you spent hours slaving away in the kitchen, but it only takes a few minutes to prepare the potatoes for baking. And in addition to looking fabulous, these potatoes taste incredible. Crunchy and packed with flavor. You have to try these.

Corn Ribs

What are the best dishes at a backyard barbecue? Slow-cooked ribs and corn-on-the-cob of course. What if you could turn corn-on-the-cob into something that resembles slow-cooked ribs? These corn ribs do just that. They are excellent served with grilled chicken or steak. One caveat: it can be somewhat difficult to cut the raw corn cobs up. Be very careful to not cut yourself. After they are sliced, the rest of the dish is a cinch to make.

Pasta Chips

Everyone loves a good, crunchy snack. Chips are probably one of the most widely-consumed snack foods ever invented. However, this new viral sensation may cut quite dramatically into the sales of chips. It’s genius: take some leftover pasta, toss it in the air fryer, season it, and enjoy the crunch of pasta chips with your favorite dip.

Rainbow Kettle Corn

Popcorn comes in a close second after chips as a favorite snack. This fun recipe turns your crunchy popcorn into a feast for the eyes as well as the mouth. This is a great snack to serve at parties. The rainbow kettle corn looks really impressive but is super easy to prepare. And delicious, of course.

Oreo mug cake

The idea of a single serving of cake you can put together and quickly microwave into perfection is amazing in and of itself. There are recipes available for many different flavors and types of mug cakes. However, this Oreo mug cake really takes the cake. It has two ingredients and takes one minute to whip up. It transforms the deliciousness of Oreos into a soft, moist delicious cake version.

Cloud Bread

Cloud bread is similar to meringue or Angel food cake. Sort of. Actually, it’s quite unique. Like a meringue, you take egg whites and whip them into a thick, stiff texture, and then fold in the other ingredients. Unlike meringue, you then form it into shapes that resemble slices of bread and bake it. While cloud bread is gorgeous to look at and it has a fairly pleasant taste, don’t eat it plain. We strongly recommend piling it high with fresh berries and adding a dollop of whipped cream for a delicious, refreshing dessert. To make your cloud bread even prettier, try swirling a small amount of berry juice into the batter before baking.

In closing

We hope these viral recipes can push you out of your food rut. These unique, fun, easy to make, and incredibly delicious foods will add some zest to your menus. Have fun!
