Yum, pineapple, there are hundreds of recipes with this delicious fruit that, when added to anything, bring an irresistible and tangy flavor to whatever you’re baking or cooking.

When can you not use pineapple to enhance the taste of almost anything? There are recipes from cakes and breads to pork roast, pizza and a pineapple smoothie. Here are a few of those recipes to tantalize your taste buds.

Pineapple Sunshine Cake

A luscious and simple to make a cake that’s right out of a boxed cake mix. You simply add the crushed pineapple to the cake mix. It changes the traditional flavor of a yellow cake mix, though a white cake mix will work too.

What makes this cake elaborate is its frosting. The topping, or frosting mixture, consists of an 8 ounce tub of whipped topping, a small package of instant vanilla pudding and an 8-ounce can of crushed pineapple. You’ll love the mixture and simply must make the cake for the frosting alone. I don’t know about you, but I would probably eat the frosting before it even gets to the top of the cake. Here’s the full recipe.

Hawaiian Pizza

Yes, it’s a controversial subject, but if you like pineapple as a pizza topping, don’t feel singled out. The flavor of this pizza is a combination of both sweetness and tantalizing flavors all placed on a crispy crust. You can either make your own pizza dough or purchase already prepared dough. Melted mozzarella cheese seals in the flavor of Canadian bacon, pineapple pieces, marinara sauce and salty bacon. It’s a savory way to enjoy pizza. That’s just my opinion. Here are the full directions for this delightful pizza.

Slow Cooker Pineapple Pork Roast

Believe it or not, this recipe takes minutes to prepare. When you put all the ingredients in a slow cooker, you’ll have a deliciously moist pork roast in a matter of hours with minimal preparation time of 15 minutes. The slow cooker does the cooking. Purchase a boneless pork roast and rub salt and black pepper over all sides. Place it in a slow cooker and add a can of undrained pineapple chunks or tidbits and a cup and a half of dried cranberries. You can complete your meal with a creamy macaroni and cheese casserole or red skinned mashed potatoes, a salad and rolls. You’ll find the complete recipe here.

Pineapple Bread

You can’t help but want a piece of this scrumptious pineapple bread. It has just the right sweetness for a quick breakfast or an after dinner dessert. It’s loaded with crushed pineapple and finished with a tantalizing pineapple glaze. Just watch yourself as this fluffy sweet bread could quickly disappear. It’s that good.

For the recipe, you’ll need granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, baking soda, and a pinch of salt. Add to that butter (softened and unsalted), two eggs, and 2 tablespoons of whole milk. You’ll also need a cup of crushed pineapple with the syrup that’s in it for the glaze. There’s more to come in the recipe here.

Pineapple Cheese Ball

A pineapple cheese ball is the perfect appetizer for parties and family fun. It’s easy to make but looks as though you spent hours putting it together, plus it tastes so flavorful and creamy good. When you mix the cream cheese and pineapple with the saltiness of pecans and the subtle flavor of green onions, you get an appetizer that’s worth writing home about. You may want to dig into this cheese ball right away, but hold off until it’s had time to chill for at least four hours or overnight. The full recipe is here.

Easy Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

Well, you couldn’t have a listing of outstanding recipes without a pineapple upside down cake added to it. This is a simple recipe that has been around for generations. You can easily put it together with a boxed yellow cake mix to which you’ll add butter, brown sugar, canned pineapple slices and maraschino cherries. Serve the cake with either sweetened whipped cream or thawed whipped topping. You’ll love this famous kitchen recipe.

Pineapple Smoothie

You’ll enjoy this combination of pineapple, pineapple juice, Greek yogurt and a banana. It makes the perfect smoothie with a tropical taste. You simply blend all the ingredients together in a blender until the drink is both creamy and smooth. It’s a great pick me up or snack and a great drink for breakfast. If you like the taste of coconut in your pineapple smoothie, add coconut milk to the recipe and you’re off on a trip to a tropical island. Make the recipe from here.
